it's in the words

you dream of what you think in the day... recently my food for thought revolves 'round music.

read on not only cos you are a fellow french enthusiast but if you are a poet of the heart, if you are too an aficionado of beautiful words...

with full credit to my professor from my usual 'la classe de chants', a melodic and romantic tune he would recommend to be sang at weddings.

my take: quite an addiction which kept me replaying the youtube video again and again. and once you learned to sing it, you would. the words in the song propelled you to envision the scenes and the sentiments. the song title, literally translated as 'there where i'll bring you' painted the everlasting, timeless love story you would have read before; of the man who will bring you till the end of the world, who will care & protect you, make your dreams come true and give you eternal bliss.

for the full lyrics

taken from the first few verses of the song, là où les bateaux quittent la mer
- there where the boats leave the sea;
imagine looking across the sea where the boats slowly fade away from your sight and disappear
describing the horizon.

there where the world comes close to your dreams, where happiness is no longer a mystery
thinking of the happily ever after? now we're talking.

I recalled my professor saying, 'a loving couple do not look at each other but they look in the same direction of where they are going'
speaking of love and future? awww... I can't help but to envy at the look of bliss on my teacher's face, a happy man.
makes my heart lurch... at the thin possibility of finding the one in this big big world.

my conclusion? people are probably right saying the french are really romantic afterall.

Bienvenue à Singapour

Here is my attempt at our mini project on introducing our home country to our French friends! I'm told that exotic appeals to the French... seafood and our hot temperatures!

Back at what I do best.... hospitality, the French way!

Bienvenue à Singapour

Chers amis

-> je recommande

A

A bientôt à Singapour!

guilty pleasures

the urge for a little dance, alcohol, live music and the beach creeped up on me.

all that rolled into one. tell me I'm addicted to something called 'nightlife'... the rice and bread of every party animal but never a word associated with a cinderella clubber who always leaves before midnight.

the yearning grew obvious ever since that beach party... I'm still missing something from that night.

perhaps its the tranquility of the beach at night... watching the darkness engulfing my entire field of vision, with occasional gleams from the seemingly calm sea - heaving peacfully right infront of my eyes and seeing glitters from the black starry sky above. listen to the waves. listen to the silence (quite an irony) as I desperately gaze into the darkness, across that abyss - searching for the horizon... the end till it all, some signs or signals... hoping, searching... like what I've been doing all these while.

nostalgia choked up that same memories I shared with my dearest pals as three of us chatted, paused, listened, watched... on the bed of rocks while feeling the sprinkles of water under our feet. thinking. wondering. pondering - about fate, future, life.

dance... to release the rigidity, suppression and restraints beyond my mental ability. stop holding back, let it out, express it all.

music... to feel life and beauty all at the same time.

alcohol... to be a little rebellious, unclear and less sensible at times.
