Leap day

Waking up on Leap Day feels special in every way.

29 February.

Because it only comes once every 4 years... associations of all things magical, special, and even myths are allowed to come alive on this very day.

This very day is also the day that makes this year a day longer; 366 days, like no other year.

Why are there leap years? "Leap years are needed to keep our calendar in alignment with the earth's revolutions around the sun. " Or so I heard. If not, today's date might be days, months or even years back.

An Irish old tale introduced many centuries ago a tradition that allows women to propose to men during a leap year. And this can only happens on Leap Day.

Well , well so I started the day with a tinge of specialness and romance, comme "let's fall in love again".

Filled with exceptional anticipation, I packd my day with exciting plans... everything feels so right and in place... the air, the weather.

It's going to be a bright day.

Finding new meaning in a not-so-ordinary day makes me see an ordinary day in a different light.

I'm so glad I have reserved this very day all to myself and the air of surprise is just beginning to build up...
