a race without a finish line
Work has been "consuming" - literally on time and energy. Coupled with stress (mostly the good stress) and fatigue (due to full utilisation of time and energy), I'm moving and still moving on. Ready to move ahead. All is in good faith. Nothing is lost yet. I'm prepared to give it all. Not a single contemplation of salvation because there is not need to. Salvation, no. Perfection, yes. Fixed to the ground, focus on getting there - accuracy, precision, alertness. Everything has to be perfect.
Starting each new day with a renewed drive to be in the best form. A race against time, a race against myself, a race with a purpose.
It almost felt like the only race that I have, the only race I'm living for.
And I can't bear to look beyond the end of the race, almost not anticipating because... what could I do after I reached the finish line? The possibility of that end to the race leaves a wish fulfilled, a life with no regret (in terms of personal achievement) but a wandering soul after the stop. It is like a life lived and died. What is after that race, I do not know. It may continue and everything will move in full force again. If not, all things may just come to a stop like the stop itself. Like the many wants and desires in life, I have many but not all is attainable. I learned not to be greedy and settle for just one. If this is it, I have done myself a great favour. What lies after that, I do not know. Another race for a different pursuit? An extended track on this race, or will I stray away to uncertainty, or return back to the path where eveyone else is on?
