a sieve

Just how can people get past their lives with each passing day - living life just so that this moment is gone and the next will come and end soon.

An endless chain of waiting, getting past second after second, minute after minute, day after day...

Like water running through a sieve, so quickly and without a trace. Like fine sand streaming through the duct in the hour glass, leaving nothing behind.

Like watching a soap opera, sitting infront of the tv, staring blankly, waiting for the show to end.

Like the water, you pass through time as though you are transparent, without a form. Like the hourglass, you, too will run out of sand.

At the end of the day, you will still be the water which oozed through the sieve, the sand which trickled through the duct in the hourglass... but still remain unshaped, untouched.

There are countless who chose to live a hourglass life, it's so easy to get used to such... like a trap, like a pit; it sinks you and you get stuck, all your life.

What's in a day, when there is no residue?
