Inspired

– aroused, animated, or imbued with the spirit to do something, by or as if by supernatural or divine influence (from www.dictionary.com)

Inspiration is powerful and magical, like what it is defined as a divine influence, something that I would even call a religion on its own... because you believe in it and you follow wherever it leads you... the boundless and the unimagined.

There are those whom have moved and affected me in such a way because of their strong conviction, passion and dedication... and of course, the fact that they are good at what they do.

Unfortunately or not, passion and performance doesn't come by chance. It is this reason that most of us are struggling, the reason that I am too. Sometimes it helps to think that probably all of us started out this way, that struggles - be it good or bad - are part of the process.

Even in a religion, there is no certainty, there are only prayers and optimism. And so we pray, we hope and we look forward to making it there.

There will no doubt be difficulties, but at least we found the strength to move ahead.

One day, we'll get there.

a good saturday afternoon

I was pleased with my saturday because I got reacquainted with myself... the one I knew much long ago. The little girl who only wants to do things her own way and would not let hesitations interfere with what she does. Yes, I was a little uncomfortable during the first few moments of struggling with the part of me which has gotten used to being an overly reliant and dependent crowd-goer. But I was glad I overcame that naggy "should I, should I not" and did straight what I wanted to do. It not only made myself feel better, but I finally set out to do what I had been planning to do for the past weeks... shaking off the excuses and no more hesitations.

I stepped in and asked for my stylist, did my hair and that was it. Simple yet satisfied. I did my brows, did my shopping and went ahead with the dinner that I had been contemplating for so long. My saturday was a self-fulfilling one, for the soul, maybe not so for the purse.

It feels so much better when we could just do it.
