One year mark
Passed the one-year mark.
It was a quiet entry into my second year... what appears like an ordinary phase to most, is a feat to me for having made this far.
The intial times spent in circles and doubts only ended up in non-commitment and each of those days was like a passing mark in time but not in the truest sense of achievement.
But this one is different. I believed and fought every moment to have come so far. It was a satisfying fight - one that you ended with a smile of triumph and pure contentment. Every sweat and pain was just worth it.
Though this is no doubt a gratifying experience that will follow me for life, I knew just like how there is always a peak and fall to everything else in life, this won't go on for very long.
Either of us will forsake the race for something else; something better or worse.
Life is beautiful. But beautiful things come to an end often at its peak.
What is truly important is to have seen and felt the beauty of life, not necessarily to possess it.
